Capped Bust Half Dime Mintages

The Capped Bust Half Dime was produced for just nine years between 1829 and 1837. During this time, the mintages remained relatively stable compared to other contemporary series. The high was reached in 1835 at 2,760,000 pieces, while the low mintage was the final year of the series in 1837 at 871,000 pieces.

The series lacks any specific key date, with all issues more or less available at most grade levels. Higher grade pieces with original surfaces can be somewhat difficult to encounter. There are a few varieties noted throughout the series, some of which can command a premium.
